to mingle with the locals and to make international friends!! (who wouldn't want more friends??) Locals will always see a different perspective of their country and have interestin views about it & visit areas that tourists don't typically venture to,

to understand the good & bad side of a country. And also decide what I wanna do here on earth for the remaining XXX years I have.
