I'm originally from New York City, but now living in London with time also spent living and working in Washington DC, Shanghai, and Singapore. I work in events and marketing in a global role, and travel frequently for work and fun. In the past, I've lived with French, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, Filipino, and Russian roommates, and have always loved the international vibe. My experience abroad has given me a unique outlook on the world, and I'm always curious to experience new things, learn about different cultures, meet new people, and find new adventures.

When I travel, I like to be a “visitor” and not a “tourist”. I like to experience places from the perspective of locals and immerse myself in the local culture. Seeing notable landmarks is great, but I’m more interested in seeing how people there actually live on a day to day – the lifestyle, food, entertainment, art, music, nightlife. I like doing the same when travelers come to my hometown, where I can offer a more authentic experience in my city.

I prefer to travel solo and be able to do all the things I want to do, instead of compromising for others which happens a lot when traveling in groups. And what I'm usually trying to do is experience things I couldn't back home, try local food, socialize with locals and other travelers, party, learn about the history of the place I'm at, and leave feeling like I know more about another culture than when I arrived. I like to always be learning and expanding my perspective, and CS is an amazing platform for this!

兴趣

I'm all over the place. I love sports, food, music, movies, fashion, nature - who doesn't. Being in a creative industry has also gotten me much more into the visual arts. But I'm most passionate about having new experiences. I'm spontaneous and open minded, if it seems fun I'll try it.

My tastes vary, and I'm open to experiencing all ends of the spectrum. I'm just as interested in fine dining/street food, upscale lounge/dive bar, luxury hotel/hostel, getting out and being active/being lazy and taking it easy, etc. I keep an open mind and it really just depends on what I'm feeling at any moment.
