About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I hope for more.

ABOUT ME

Oftentimes, I cherish being alone, but I am always a true, loyal and generous friend. I am keen on embroidering, crocheting, drawing, sewing and baking, but I don't usually call myself an artist. I dislike selfish acts, hypocrisy, commercialism and capitalism, but I own a 2005 New Beetle named Bean and a MacBook (unnamed), and I'd like to keep both. Furthermore, I am an unabashed fan of rain; slip-on shoes; tennis; my kitties; laughing; surprises; board games; cheese; clever people; communicating; blowing bubbles; books; hazelnuts; dahlias, peonies, and ranunculi; making lists; my friends + family; thrift stores; traveling; pastries; catching matinees; rainbows; running; alliteration; conducting countdowns; museums; modern art; musicals; fireworks; photography; painted nails; bubble tea; letterboxing; and improving.

PHILOSOPHY

seek + bring joy
seek + make art
hope for more

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent Autumn 2011 CouchSurfing around Europe, and it is undoubtably the most delightful way to travel. I look forward to returning the favor for folks from all earth's corners!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been completely charmed by the surfing experience - each host made me feel like I was HOME in a completely foreign land.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I held my niece in my arms when she was 2 hours old.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to sign the alphabet in ASL, crochet a blanket for your cats, letterbox, arrange flowers, or how to adapt your favorite candy bar into a cookie. (The last one being the most practical, of course.) :)

I'd like to learn how to sing for realsies, to speak German and French, to sew clothing, and when I have a place of my own, I'd love to learn how to cultivate seasonal fruits and vegetables.

I like to share quirky adventures, opinions, recommendations of all sorts, warm beverages, cold beverages, room temperature beverages, and laughs with others.
