我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Climbing alone to the top of a cave near the St. Victoire, a mountain near Aix en Provence, France. The night was falling, it had been raining and the wind was strong. I felt at the same time so small, and so strong in front of that lonesome mountain. I felt unstable and exhilirated.

On a plane between France and the US, at night. I couldn't sleep so I stared out unto the sky, where the bottom couldn't be seen so it appeared that the stars surrounded us from everywhere, below and above us. It was so unknown and sublime, I knew I'd never forget it as long as I lived.
