After spending the last few years living and working in London, I am currently spending a few months travelling in Europe. I hope to meet new people, discover new places, and improve my language skills, particularly my German!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favourite memories of travelling all feature the friends that I have made and the conversations that I have had with people that I could not have met as a regular tourist. I'm quite new to couchsurfing, but so far, for me, it has been a brilliant way to travel and have a really rich experience of a new place.

I am not currently hosting, as I am travelling for the next few months, but I love cooking, showing people around my city (London) and creating a homey atmosphere.

Interests

I work part time as an artist and potter, and then part time in an office. My interests are quite closely linked to my work! I love visiting museums and galleries, drawing, painting reading and potting. I am interested in history and languages, I am currently trying to learn German, as well as brushing up on my rusty French. I'm from the Yorkshire countryside originally, so I like going home to spend quiet time with my family. I love travelling, and particularly meeting new people on my travels.

As a native speaker I'm happy to help with any English questions you may have. I have experience as a TEFL teacher and as a proofreader.
I'm very open to learning everything about the language, culture, history of the places I stay.
I usually have some chocolate in my bag... I would be happy to share it with you, if I haven't eaten it already :)

I'm an open minded and friendly, with a positive outlook on life. I'm clean, respectful, and have been told that I'm quite a quiet and calm person.
British food doesn't have the best reputation, but it can be good, I promise!
