Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Arithmetically, painstakingly increase the kindness in my surroundings. Doing well in the process.
ABOUT ME
I shall leave that to my future, no doubt numerous panegyrists.
PHILOSOPHY
Uh, Socratic?
If it doesn't change on a regular basis, it's not philosophy, it's superstition.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I got passively involved in this mess in Greece; my badass spiritual sister, then a co-student in my foreign exchange program, was a veteran member and proposed this as a way to enhance our wacky traveling circus experiences. It sounded like a good idea. And here I am now, sucked in.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Actually, amazingly good.
No, really, the people by which I've been hosted have all revealed themselves exquisite chaps. The system works! Or that was just me having gotten really lucky.
Interests
Ancient history, modern history, contemporary history, even what happened to you yesterday. I'm an human vicissitudes junkie.
Traveling, meeting people who did it. It provides an endless stream of good anecdotes, and "you're never really done for, as long as you've got a good story and someone to tell it to".
Sports, either badassly (even when poorly) played, or feverishly dicussed about.
Linguistics.
Reading.
And many others to be discovered.

Music, Movies, and Books
In constant alternation between legitimately artistic, yet sometimes impervious works of human inspiration, and umpretentious, down-to-earth stuff. I've watched "Battleship Potemkin" and "The Hangover" and enjoyed both with relish.
And I do like U2, and I'm prepared to defend my right to.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It would be quite conceited of me to talk about it, now, wouldn't it?
Teach, Learn, Share
I finance my travels by teaching some spoiled kids the last things they want to learn about. I often succeed in manipulating the brats into realizing how much those things can be awesome.
I don't know what I might end up teaching you, but I'm quite trained to make you aware that no matter what, if it's bad news, there're always reasons to cheer up anyway.
As for what you can teach me, in life one never knows what kind of knowledge might come in handy, so whatever you've got to offer, I'm totally willing to take.
And if a stranger is ready to share his place with me, the least I can do is to share the half-eaten sandwich I'm bringing along. That's savoir faire.
