CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
Nomad, story teller, picture taker, dancer, creative hotpot, experimental chef, spirited creature.
I need to find ways in life to celebrate the sacred, the playful even within workplaces and the world of the serious. I believe in people, the power of the heart and the importance of community.
I'm a performance artist, director, teacher, project co-ordinator/facilitator. I like to use theatre as a tool for social action, working with non-performers to create original work which reflects their unique stories and experiences. For the past 5 years (since graduating university) I have worked with disenfranchised youth, new migrants and Indigenous people.
I worked with a New York based theatre company (Big Art Group) over the summer, traveling to Austria, Germany, France and New York City.
I love traveling, people, colour and shape, good food and good conversation. Then there's cycling, having a bath and cooking up a storm.
PHILOSOPHY
it all comes from the heart!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfed through Europe and used the site to meet up with groups. Organised a get-together to tour art squats in Berlin.
Now, I am no longer travelling my partner Tom and I host every now and again. We often have friends staying over as well, but we tend to have surfers every month/few weeks.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My old home in Sydney was a regular drop / sleep over spot for friends and friends of friends from interstate or overseas. We once had a German cyclist who had come to OZ to compete in the messanger race, we shared a great meal together and played board games with him.
I enjoy bringing surfers into my home, we chose carefully and therefore view our potential surfers as friends we have not met yet :)
Interests
A good story! Theatre and all forms of performing arts, dancing, live music, theme parties and dressups, doofing, cooking new meals, making things with my hands. Nature (the bush, the beach, the mountains) walking, sharing ideas, sharing recipes, dinners parties and camping.Ritual- in the sacred sense.Play- in the free spirited sense. Making vodka and tequilla based fruit drinks and serving them in fruit and vegetables.
Having a cause and making a fuss.
