About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn about and help people from all over the world!
ABOUT ME
Well, I love to meet new people and talk about interesting subjects. I am super open minded and can have just as much fun staying in chatting as I can dancing at a club all night long. I can roll with the punches.
If I can help, I will. More than once I have guided strangers to their hostels or given directions or advice to tourists I run into. So many people have helped me with no hidden agenda and I do my best to do the same whenever possible.
Life is what we make of it, and I would like to make it awesome!
PHILOSOPHY
People are important. You never know who you are going to meet or what they are really like unless you get out there and talk to them. People always surprise me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted a few people and surfed. Now I am a bit nomadic and up for meeting and staying with new people!
Hablo español :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In December of 2011 I got hooked on couch surfing in Barcelona due to an overbooked hostel and an inspiring couch surfer. We had a blast at CS events and stayed with some great people. Then I spent the summer of 2012 hopping around looking to meet new people and share our cultures. Whenever I meet someone who's not involved in the CouchSurfing community I tried to recruit them. Every experience is unique and gives me a new perspective on life. I love it!
Interests
Anything creative - sewing, knitting, writing, photography, traveling, meeting new people, discussing interesting topics, running, volunteering, biking, strolling through parks, ... pretty much anything mentally stimulating, creative, or physically active. I am also FACINATED by subcultures. Love to know everything about them.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I like movies that make you think and nonconventional ones. Can´t think of anything right now. Mary and Max was nice.
Music: Love it all!
Books: Just like movies, I like books that make me think and/or are nonconventional. Self by Yann Martel was one of my favorite reads. He´s great.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Madagascar my friend and I were stalked and subsequently chased by leaping lemurs.
Note to self: even though you have to eat before taking your malaria pills, do not let your friend buy a bunch of bananas and carry them around lemurs. I have tons of tales like that from my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I can teach people about phrasel verbas in English, and other idioms of the language.
If you're not already a pro I can teach you; yes, you who never could get it; how to use chopsticks. You'll be scarfing down rice in no time!
There are other tricks I´ve picked up that I teach people, but examples are evading me at the moment.
Learn:
As I have stated many times, I´d like to learn about other people and culture. And I really want to better my Spanish. It´s also fun to learn phrases in other languages.
Share:
I will share anything I can. I mostly like sharing time with people.
