ABOUT ME

I love being spontaneous. I don't like planning too much. I'm the kind of traveler that arrives first and finds a guesthouse second. I'll try any kind of food at least once. I've picked up and moved to another country twice now. I love Canada, but this world is just too big and too interesting to stay in just one country!

I have a degree in Biology and was working in Oil and Gas doing reclamation and remediation. I only had 2 weeks vacation, so I quit that job to travel Thailand for one month. Originally I started teaching English to help me travel and discover other cultures... but it turned out that I LOVE teaching English too! Win-win.

I love experiencing culture shock. Swimming and dancing and drinking cold beers :) I'm super open-minded and always try to stay positive and not stress too much. I like being around other positive people.

No regrets! If it doesn't harm you or anyone else ~ go for it! Oh. And be honest and upfront with people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met a few couchsurfers in Calgary. We met at a pub one night and shared stories about travelling. I haven't couchsurfured yet, but they made it sound really great and I'm excited to try it out!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Holi Festival in India. I've never experienced anything like it! So many drums, and colours, and so much food too! OH ~ and Song Kran in Thailand. And the mud festival in Korea.
