Offset the negative image that have been created of Mexico

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Arturo I've been living in Morelia my whole life. I'm in love with my country, but specially with my city. One of the main reasons I'm participating in couchsurfing, is to offset all the negative image that the media had been made about Michoacan (my state).

In Morelia you'll be able to enjoy lot of things among the whole year, we have "Dia de muertos" a celebration to remember those who have leave this world, the International Music Festival of Morelia (mainly classic music) also there is the Morelia Film Fest and of course 15 de Septiembre (the independence day) where you'll be able to drink tequila until your throat got burnt.

So as you see Michoacan and Mexico is not dangerous, I think that the media overreact and exaggerate about the situation, and just make the things worst: frightening all of you who want to come here.

I hope that you give the chance to come and just like me, fall in love with this beautiful city.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to host but also be surfer, thats how I think is the best way to be a member of this comunity.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of the surfers that I've hosted come to Morelia during the festivals and also "Día de Muertos" a celebration to remember all those people that leave us in this world and are now in a better place.

Música, películas y libros

I like the classical books, but also some contemporary novel. In music, I like all kind of music but specially the alternative gendre and also also soft rock.

Algo increíble que he hecho

The first time I saw the Eiffel Tower, was from Trocadero, such an amazing and awesome impression! The mexican land scapes. Bungee jump. Work in London, organized a music festival in Rome, live in D.C.

I can teach you piano if you want hahah, I'm also opened to learn new things, I thing its always important to learn something new. Also I can make a fabulous apple pie.
