About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a guy who really loves to travel and spend time with friends and people from different cultures (duh. I was an exchange student in Germany in 2013/14 and daswegen kann ich Deutsch reden. I really love spontaneous things in life: when everything doesn't go as planned and I have to rethink my life quickly and respond in an unprecedented way - that's what life is about! I love my friends and travelling and hiking and I can't stress this enough.
I also like to take walks to reflect on everyday and think about things.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to enjoy the little things in life to be happy. We have so much, but we appreciate it so little.

+ I'm 19 and I probably don't have any idea what I'm doing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to make my travels mostly on the shoestring, in a kind of vagabond style and to meet all kinds of awesome people from different places. I'm really into people in general, but I guess that goes without saying here. :) (Yes, it does.) I'm easy-going, open minded and can't say no to new experiences and meeting nice strangers...I mean new people to spend great times with!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't really had much experience, try to surf for the first time at the moment! I would like to meet lots of different, new people to have great memories with!

Unfortunately I cannot accept guest, because I live with my brother and can't really decide who to let in...but I'd love to get into CS when I move to my own place.

Interests

I take an interest in various cultures, languages, arts and history. I love spending time reading books, watching movies (includes learing as much as I can about them and from them) and going on spontaneous adventures with fun people. I also try to make time to play ukulele, piano and the harmonica. I try to make the best of my time and enjoy everything I do!

I really love comedy! For example my favourite stand-up guys are Trevor Noah, Jimmy Carr and Louis CK, can't get enough of them. And MONTY PYTHON of course, English comedy at its finest and funniest!

Music, Movies, and Books

Rammstein (probably the reason I went to Germany in the first place), Queen, Clarice Falcao, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Quentin Tarantino (can't get enough of this guy), Guy Richie, "Master and Margarita", "The Little Prince", "Martin Eden"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quick travelled through Germany in two days on trains to spend a night at Hamburg and have the best time of my life with my friends; pretty much my whole exchange year in Germany.

Teach, Learn, Share

Speaking and practicing different languages is definitely a great thing to do and something I can offer! Or at least on some level... We can also make music, I always carry my harmonica on my travels. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good company and honest, smart conversations. I'm up for pretty much everything: go outside - you bet, stay inside - great too, discuss excistential questions about life, where we all come from and why fire engines are red - of course and a hundred times yes!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In
