I've found languages as a key to my me-happy making things. i love to explore new cultures, cuisines...
once in a while i try to take up a new language to figure out whats behind all the english-conversation facade.im stuck with chinese.
besides that im a student of china studies in göttingen. swing back and forth from hamburg to göttingen, and occassionally anywhere else.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ive been on two couches so far and had several cups, glasses and plates of everything we got. had interesting discourse, exciting moments and lovely stay-in-touchs with them.lookin forward to the next one

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

my friend and i were scoutering through the national park of kenting(south of taiwan)
due to a few scouter accidents in thailand we felt a bit inscure, but anyway
we kept driving and driving, suddently a car appeared with four yelling taiwanese people
screaming something in chinese while trying to stop us with their car.
my friend got so nervous that she started to swear
but eventually we gave up and stopped next to a ditch where we almost had fallen in due to the car pushing action
anyway we expected the worst, alone in the middle of a lonely national park, especially when one of the men opened the boot...honestly i had some crazy ideas in my head "is there a gun in the boot???"

since we are not accustomed to any western friendliness, we'd have never considered that those men were only farmers with the intention to give us lychee as a gift.

we were so much touched by their kindness and our stupidness...
