About Me

I'm an undergrad college student studying in IIT Delhi. I've got a beautiful place in South Delhi, (15 min from the Airport), where I live with my parents. I'm a travel enthusiast and have travelled to more than my share of European and Asian countries (see places visited). I'm really keen to host travellers, meet new people, share stories and even help them explore this beautiful place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've recently read about experiences of backpackers and travellers on Quora. I got really excited about the opportunities to explore places not just as tourist but a traveller, getting to know about other cultures, staying and sharing experiences with fellow travellers, and making some friends along the way!

Interests

I'm really interested in travelling and exploring. I love reading novels and my favourite writers include Jeffrey Archer and Gerald Durrell. I experiment with cooking from time to time. I'm interested in the field of Artificial Intelligence, and have recently worked on some cool projects with a prof. I enjoy hanging out with friends, and am working on becoming an extrovert and getting to know people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to Indian music and my favourite artists include Atif Aslam, Kailash Kher and the Wadali brothers. I enjoy dancing at parties to all sorts of EDM, and of course, Indian party songs. My favourite books include Paths of Glory by Jeffrey Archer and My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell. Some of my favourite movies are Rang De Basanti, Lagaan, Eat Pray Love, A Beautiful Mind, Gladiator, and Memento.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most amazing trip of my life was to Ladakh, a cold desert in the northern parts of India. Among the surreal beauty of the mountains, my college friends and I camped, had bonfires, listened to tales about the beautiful night sky, got trapped in an avalanche that hit us!, and emerged out of it with perhaps the most beautiful experience of our lives.

What I Can Share with Hosts

What I have to offer is a beautiful, peaceful and spacious home in the middle of South Delhi, in a green and safe locality. Located very close to the Airport (15 min drive) and within reachable distance of the nearest metro station (Chhatarpur), my home is nestled in a campus, away from the noise of the city, yet conveniently located, with a big kitchen and a stacked refrigerator for the hungry! (My mom's an excellent cook by the way!). I offer my help in exploring this beautiful city, and I might even have the free time to accompany you if you want. You are welcome to my collection of novels, and can spend a day relaxing, or playing basketball/football/cricket in the lawns with adequate facilities.
