Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the past I hosted people from Iceland, Germany, France, Spain, Australia, China, Japan and other countries. I have also traveled within Korea and stayed with different couchsurfing hosts. It has been a great opportunity to meet people and travel vicariously. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started hosting on January 1st, 2013 as a sort of New Years Resolution. I really enjoyed the opportunity to meet people from all around the world.

Interests

I'm always up for an adventure, so I'll be the first to climb (___fill in the blank__), try eating (__fill in the blank__) and I'll say yes to just about anything the first time.

One of the best parts of Couchsurfing is just the opportunity to be comfortable with one another. Hanging out in peoples homes and just chatting on the sofa. Couchsurfing is about building friendships and getting to know one another to make the world a little smaller and friendlier.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite books are Harry Potter, Twilight and Terry Goodkind series.
In general I prefer fantasy and romance movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nature is amazing. The bright orange sun rising over the water or setting behind a mountain, The cheese-colored moon with a ring around it and the stars that speckle the sky between the clouds, the tall mountain in the distance that I'm aching to climb, walking up a river and floating back down, despite the cold. Hummingbirds pollinating cacti in a hot desert, Walking along the waterfront in Florida and noticing that I am about a foot away from an alligator with its mouth open, and lightning storms. I love storms.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am really curious about people's travel stories, everyone has a different background and a different direction in life, so it is really great to share stories, and when I hear other people's stories it sparks my own interest and curiosity.
