About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience as much as possible before I'm forced to grow up

ABOUT ME

ummm, I'm a girl? How about a homo sapien? (Thank you captain obvious.)

I am a quixotic AND mercurial valley girl (God forbid anyone ever figures out what that actually means)
Often times goofy, I spend more than half my time trying to figure out why no one will take me seriously. I flirt shamelessley and can't seem to figure out why my boyfriend's get so jealous and none of my guy friends are willing to be just friends.
I'm kind of pretentious but I don't mean to be. Usually. I'm also what some have called "matter of fact". Whoever can tell me what that means wins a cookie.

My guitar's name is Suzy, and I'm a big fan of arguing.

Born in Alamo, California but grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona. I moved to Carmel, California when I was 16 and moved to Boston (more specifically Cambridge) when I was 19. I transferred to Lowell and graduated from umass. Then I moved BACK with my parents in Carmel, Ca, spent some time down in SoCal, lived and worked in Southern Germany for a medical diagnostic company, moved back to Carmel for a year and then started working for a company that eventually relocated me to Charlotte.

It goes without saying that I have geographical ADHD. I love moving around or can't stay in one place for very long - haven't actually figured that one out yet... Some say this means I have commitment issues. I say they're just adventure retarded.

PHILOSOPHY

Never give up.

"Nec Spe, nec metu" meaning "Without hope or fear."
- Caravaggio de Medici -

OR...

Religion is like peanut butter - it can be both nutty and smooth, and all the different kinds of peanut butter represent all the different kinds of religions there are. Nutty peanut butter is like the hard and tumultuous path one can take to life. Creamy peanut butter represent the easy path. And peanut butter + jelly is when you get to mysticism like sufism which is just a whole other can of worms!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a newbie on here looking to experience the true nature of couch surfing, so anyone that can be of service would be greatly appreciated.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mr. Jake Coffey gave me a wonderful first time experience couch surfing in Little Rock, Arkansas. The initial moments were awkward which I think can be expected when you say, 'Nice to meet you! I'm sleeping on your couch!' But he was very nice and offered to take me to a pot luck some acquaintences of his were throwing. We endeavored to create together a dish fitting the mardi gras theme. It was interesting (to put in kindly) but we brought it anyway. We ended up getting along so well that his friends began asking how we knew each other and we said,'We don't! We just met tonight! In fact I'm sleeping on his couch!' to which they responded with incredulous glares that said 'wtf?' When I tried to tell them that it was okay, we had met online previously I don't think it helped our case but it DID give me the opportunity to explain what couch surfing was and how it worked. It was a huge hit and I had such a good time I stayed on an extra night.

Great first experience :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I think that's something you should ask me if you care.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many I can't choose. Once again, if you want to know you'll have to ask.

Teach, Learn, Share

You do not need, like the painter, a canvas, brushes, and paints; You have limbs, body, head, and other parts. Your hands and feet are the brushes and the whole universe is the canvas on which you depict your life. This picture is called "history."
