About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My aim is to learn the norwegian language within 4 weeks and go back to Turkey to start working for Norwegians as a tour guide.
ABOUT ME
Tour guide, married and father of 3 young children. Since it's my job to speak and I do speak a lot while working, talking is not really my preferred pasttime activity but I am a good listener. I enjoy good music but unfortunately can't handle heavy metal and co :)) I like the latinamerican culture, especially their music and dance. Argentine Tango is my favorite although I can't dance (yet) and I consider myself a moderate salsa fan.
I also love to play backgammon, table tennis, billiards (which I almost gave up after quitting smoking back in 2005).
And when it comes to food, red meat is almost always my last choice. I cook myself, but only vegetarian dishes.
PHILOSOPHY
Yin-Yang - that seems to me the perfect summary of our whole universe; nothing pure, nothing without its opposite in this universe and an eternal change that makes turn good things/people and bad things/people sometimes better, sometimes worse; nothing ever stays the same..
And I don't believe that victory is worth or enough to justify all sorts of means, not even in matters of war or love; instead of a dirty gain/victory, I prefer to be the loser.
Justice blended with mercy is to me the most valuable virtue..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I found out about CS through a friend and found the idea behind it perfect - in theory at least :))
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I met one CS'er and it was a brilliant experience - I hope to meet more of them :)
Interests
Other than latin dances and their music I also am interested very much and fond of learning new languages - I find it fascinating to talk with the people in their own mother tongues and I hope I'll have the time and opportunity to learn a few more before my time is over.
I also like to discuss the eternal questions of mankind like where we came from and where we are heading to and why. In matters of religion I am about to become an agnostic I guess, depending on the definition of the word..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jumped out of a plane with a parachute a few times and intend not to do it again any more :))
Teach, Learn, Share
People who know how to keep the balance between extremes/opposites: there must be a balance, a harmony in everything one undertakes, exaggeration and fanatism should be avoided.
