CURRENT MISSION

Currently living in Cuenca, Ecuador, teaching English for CEDEI and working as an editor at a travel/expat website. Yes: life is great. I'm not able to host at the moment but if you're traveling through Ecuador, I'd love to meet up for some drinks or take you to see the sights!

Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Challenge yourself as often as possible.

Pay attention to what your gut tells you (especially when traveling!).

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm here because I love to travel. When I can't travel, I love to meet other travelers by having them stay with me. I enjoy showing people around to my favorite places and to help them enjoy their travels to the utmost. When I am traveling, I much prefer hanging out with a local to looking at guidebooks. I want to know the best restaurants, the best sights, etc. without being perpetually stuck on the "tourist trail". Some of my best memories of traveling South America come from having a Couchsurfing host take me to one of their favorite places.

I am a hardcore reader. For life. Also, food, movies, sidewalk cafes, tall climbable trees, the ocean, camping, driving, poetry, languages, cooking, scuba diving, swimming, soccer, music, whiskey, etc. etc.

Algo increíble que he hecho

The Great Migration in the Serengheti. I will never forget seeing thousands and thousands of wildebeests and zebras crossing the river in spite of hungry crocodiles and strong currents.

Also, scuba diving in the Galápagos was one of the highlights of my life. It was like being in space, and I got to see some animals that can only be found there!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can teach you how to travel cheaply, how to interpret poetry, how to cook all sorts of different dishes, how to be an adventurous eater, when to use their, they're, or there, etc.

I always want to learn about new cultures, especially languages!
