ABOUT ME

I always liked travelling, I was lucky enough to have my parents taking me abroad for holidays, and I myself decided to go and study abroad at the age of 21 : the Erasmus program helped me a lot to fulfill this dream. After spending about 1 year n a half in Prague, I realized how much this kind of experience was rewarding : I met with people coming from everywhere, from Czech of course, but also from Latvia, from Kazakhstan, from Africa, from Bulgaria, from very different places in Europe, and I just LOVED that. I love meeting people, I love talking with them, I love that we can enrich each other by our own experiences, our own differences, our own points of view...If there's something for what I'm delighted to live in our old good society of the 21st century, there it is! Though I'm a talkative person, I also appreciate sometimes the sound of silence especially when being in nature, so any nature lovers could also like my company;)!!

PHILOSOPHY

When at the highschool, I remember the first time I got an interest in reading a philosophical text, it was from Epicure himself : since then, I like seeing myself as a fervent believer of this philosophy of life:) I was born I guess with an undying optimism, which already helped me a lot to play things down n I keep thinking : "we have our whole life to have fun, and we will rest once dead"

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although I've been usually living in small flats so far , I'd be glad to provide a bed to anyone who would need it. If U're not looking for anything big n luxurious, be sure U'll be very much welcome at my place! I'll be pleased to help you during your stay as much as possible, and even if U're just looking for soe to share a drink with, be also sure that if I'm around n free, I will join you with a great pleasure!

I have no experience at all so far, but I've been told it's great and I do believe it, so here I am!:)

Interests

Wahou..LOTS of interests actually : I'm a life enthusiast and for me, a boring life is an oxymoron;) First I would say I love reading, because books are the key for understanding the world. I would then say I love watching movies, I can spend lot of time talking ardently about any movie topic;), I also like very much going to theater, exhibitions, museums, I like very much anything which has a cultural interest. I love hiking very much, I'm more a mountain girl than a "sea girl"to be honest:), I really do love doing sport : U can suggest me a fierce struggle around a table tennis as much as a nice rally during a badminton match, U can offer me to go n play a volleyball/basketball/Handball game, or to jump on the dancefloor, I will be thrilled! As a history teacher I like very much history in general, but I'd say that anyone I meet that I can feel passionate about anything, I'm eager to hear about his/her own passion(s) : so I definitely can broaden my interests!! Tell me about your philosophical, religious ideas, what you think about politics, tell me about what you like eating the most, tell me where you'd like to go one day, anything you want to share, I will enjoy it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Eclecticism is my credo:)I can listen to Nightwish or Rammstein when waking up, I can work with the best western songs by Ennio Morricone, then I would cook with some polish folk music, take a shower singing aloud some good french songs, n do some exercises listenning to Shakira or Lady Gaga;) I' m a bit more narrow-minded as movies n books are concerned, I must admit, but still I'm always open to watch or read anything which at first wouldn't have appealed me that much:) Among movies : Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Boy A, The last of Mohicans, Heat, Secret window, some french also like Ne le dis à personne, la chambre des morts, contre-enquête, embrassez qui vous voudrez, some I discovered when being abroad like 13 Tzameti or Kolya.
Books...I'm addicted to the french litterature of the 19th century (Zola, Maupassant, Flaubert..), I like very much the gothic fiction like The Monk by Lewis,or Wuthering Heights by E.Brontë, I'm fond of Arturo Perez-Reverte, I like Russian authors as Soljenitsyne or Dostoievski, and in general I'd say that any book I feel I need to take a paper n a pen to note down sentences or thoughts are valuable to me.
