ABOUT ME

After many years working with nonprofits and in the charitable sector, I feel I have much to see around the world and learn about how helping others is happening elsewhere.

I am a bubbly person that likes to joke around and have fun with new people! I really like going for walks in new cities, grabbing new food, and getting lost, then hopefully finding out way back.

I travel with my husband and life partner, Lex, who is a DJ/music producer but also the brains behind our fundraising consulting business. He is the best for anything barbecue and smoking meat and enjoyed deep conversations about spirituality.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As travelers, we are mostly the onces couchsurfing! We love having conversations with our hosts, cooking dinner when possible and learning from eachother. We mostly work during the day and some evenings (time zones...) and are very quiet and respectful.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While traveling through Central America, I couchsurfed in the main cities and had an amazing experience. I have yet to host but I can't wait to do it once we have our homestead!

Intereses

I am a huge nonprofit nerd and love getting to know the local scene, especially when it comes to animal protection or the environment. We also are big techno/electronic music fans so let us know if you want to go dance if it's a weekend, or go for a hike/out in nature, we love both!

I love cooking and trying new foods, I even started a food blog that covers recipes but also sustainable food initiatives. I have also recently developed an interest in art galleries and crafts markets, so many interesting things to find there!

In love with Stephen King.. but have been reading a lot of food books and environmental philosophy lately. I try to stay away from the screen as much as possible, I spend enough time on it at work!

Whenever I have saved an animal's life through my work, I considered it to be quite an amazing thing.

I also organized the biggest vegan barbecue in Canada and am the co-organizer of the first ever World Tofu Day.

I am a skilled teacher, be it in fundraising, communications, knitting or vegan cooking. I love sharing my skills with others.
