At the moment I'm a grad student in biology, studying streams in Iceland every summer (guaranteed, financed travel, woo!). As you can imagine, this makes me a bit of a nature nut. I've been able to finagle travel ecology fieldwork to see a fair amount of Central America, and am working on Europe now.

While I love seeing the sights, the most rewarding part of traveling for me is meeting people from around the world with different experiences and viewpoints. I love solo traveling, and I see CS as a great way to meet up with people outside of a hostel.

I also really love living in Bozeman, and would be happy to help visitors see some of its better sides. One of my roommates is uncomfortable with hosting strangers, but I'd be happy to meet up with couchsurfers over drinks or something.

I devour books and particularly love Thomas Hardy, Jonathan Franzen, Barbara Kingsolver, Robin McKinley, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Music-wise I have really broad tastes ranging from classical to 90's alt rock to classical to bluegrass.

I'm a big science geek and have tons of useless facts floating around in my head, particularly stream-related. My Spanish is good enough to get around and make friends, but I'm always trying to improve it.
