CURRENT MISSION
Spreading Love and Compassion To All
ABOUT ME
Hi or as they say here, Alooooooooha!!!!
I've been an active couch surfer and Oahu Amb for 3 years now and I must say I LOVE IT!! Life isn't about expectations; it's about generosity, compassion, Love, and giving the unexpected a chance. There is nothing better than meeting new people around the world and learning other walks of life.
I'm big into culture and can share plenty of information regarding culture, music, history, outdoor activities, shopping, events, etc.
A little about me :
*Huge foodie!! I love to eat and enjoy the ambiance of people coming together having a good time.
*Big beach goer!! You will see some ample beach time with me so if chillin on the beach with a few beers or surfing enjoying the ocean sounds good, then we're meant to be :)
*Funny, easy going, down to earth, extremely random, positive.
*LOVE THE OUTDOORS :)
*I'm a musician and artist so all you artists and musicians, hit me up because I loooooove getting together and jamming :)
*Very open: I embrace the weird and awkward so come one and come all!!
*I live with my partner, Tiare so yes, that makes me a lesbian. if you're ok with that, then all systems are a "GO".
Shall we dance?
PHILOSOPHY
Everyone has their own flow to things. Some are already set for them before they're born and others take it as they come.
I like to take what I learned through my past and guide myself as time progresses. Laughter is the best medicine! The world can be your best friend if you let it be, so take that breathe and jump!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to show people the real part of Hawai‘i and the best I know how to is to show it through my culture and upbringing here in the islands. Even if my couch isn't available, I still want to be able to meet visitors or new comers and help them get adjusted. Always a helping hand and a laugh.
Whenever I travel, I always try to keep an open mind to things. It always seems a little intimidating at first but the more I venture out to what's beyond my comfort zone, the more I grow and learn to appreciate different parts of this world. I have yet to regret anyplace I've traveled to. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
CS is an AMAZING organization and it's only getting better. It has changed my life for the better, gifting me with amazing experiences and new friends. I only wish to better this gift by paying it forward to anyone willing to give it a try.
CS has shot me up with the traveling bug! I am constantly mapping out a trip, big or small. For now, I'm hosting and doing my part in sharing Hawai‘i with whoever wants a bite. Generosity and sharing is what it's about and I got that.
Interests
*Waking up early in the morning when no one else is awake. It's so peaceful.
*Parking at my favorite beach and watching the sun rise while eating fresh doughnuts from the local bakery
*Helping people
*Theater
*Art
*Having a good time!! There's no shame in getting wasted off your ass...we all need it time to time. The only question is, "Can you handle it?"
*Spicy food! I actually love food and I'm lucky to also know how to enjoy and celebrate it. It brings people together.
*The ocean is my domain. Ever since I was a child, the beach and open water became another home to me. I guess you could call me a water baby. :)

I have a deep passion for finding culture where ever I go to. How can you not want to explore that as a traveler? I believe that when you travel to a new country or state, you're choosing to live another way of life. Be it good or bad, it's never dull. I love getting to the roots of different places. Food, people, art, tradition are always different and that's what makes the world so unique.
Active Artist: I'm always with a canvas and sharpies constantly inspired by what Ke Akua and the Universe has to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything under the sun
MUSIC: Everything from Aretha to Missy. I love music; it's my portal to another world when times are rough or when I need to be on my own.
It helps set things into place for me. Also a huge broadway fan. Loving it. My dream is to do at least one broadway show!
I also write my own music and poetry.
Movies: HUGE COMEDY, THRILLER, HORROR, DOCUMENTARY FAN!! But I'll watch basically anything.
Books: Deepak Chopra, Laurell K. Hamilton, Steven King...anything. I love reading.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's key to make every experience an amazing one, you never know.
Teach, Learn, Share
I was raised going to a Hawaiian school. I learned how to live off of the land and respect the culture that has helped create who I am. I am very deeply based from family and hawaiian tradition which is to love and show respect.
Getting off the island has really helped my mind open to new things and beauty. It's hard at first, but leaving the islands for a little bit has really opened my eyes. I really look forward to exploring the world throughout my lifetime. I do hope that there is a world we can live in throughout the next 50 years. Times are rough now and we just have to strive for the best. Starting over isn't always going to be easy but it's a start to new life.
I believe that music and language are some of the key ingredients in life. It soothes and moves; it's my portal to all. I speak fluent Hawaiian and English but my goal is to learn as many as I can fit into this brain of mine. Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Indian, anything. I'm open.
I hope to share all I can about Hawai‘i with others. It truly is a magnificent place that is unlike anywhere else. I also hope to learn and gain life's truths as I travel. The things you learn about not only where you are but yourself are unreal when you take that step.
