Overview
About Me
I'm wrapping up a marathon 7 years of study in agricultural science and geography specialising is sustainable food systems, and work in food engagement as well. In the past I've done a lot of work in climate activism, but agriculture is the space I'm passionate about making a difference in. I love getting creative in the kitchen, burlesque dancing, gardening, yoga, hiking, singing, and trying out pretty much every other overambitious hobby under the sun. Big fan of painting and drawing too, not that I'm any good at them. I also love watching live music - pretty much anything so long as I can have a dance to it but particularly rock, folk, indie, soul and funk!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm travelling for a couple of months on the tail end of this year (2023) and I'd love to really get to know the cities I'm travelling through and the interesting people in them. Love making new connections and really discovering the soul of a city which I'm hoping you might be able to help me out with! The wholesomeness of this website and the community you can meet through it is just amazing, I'm so excited to jump in and make some memories with wonderful humans, whether I'm Couchsurfing for a couple of nights of just catching up to see the sights for a day. Get in touch!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music-wise I'm really enjoying exploring what's out there at the moment but I am a big fan of the Monophonics, Royal Blood, CAKE, Alt-J, Black Keys, Data Rock, St Paul & The Broken Bones... I could go on but we'd be here forever! I love books, mostly I listen to the audio versions but I've gotten into some more sombre fiction reads like 'Luster', 'Beautiful world where are you', 'The Heavens' and 'My dark Vanessa', and biographies like 'How we Love' and 'Your Own Kind of Girl'. I love books that really make me reassess the way I see the world and challenge me a little bit, if you have any recommendations I'm all ears!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I'm finally finished my thesis I suppose that'll be a big one! (Fingers crossed!)
I'm pretty proud of performing in a couple of burlesque showcases - there's something very exhilarating about the acceptance you have to feel standing on a stage in front of an audience of a few hundred people with pretty much no clothes on.
Also my friends and I wrote and performed a sold out fringe show with zero experience a few years ago and it was such an incredibly fun experience - still can't quite believe it happened!
Teach, Learn, Share
It's got to be cooking for me I think, in terms of sharing! I love whipping up meals and I also love fermenting things, making things like kimchi and sauerkraut.
