Hi,

my name is Kai, I'm from Austria and I am currently living and working in London. I'll stay in London till the end of June before heading back to Austria to finish my Bachelor degree.
I'm studying computer science and work as a software developer. I love programming because I see it as some kind of art since you can be a creator.

Unfortunately I can't host anyone in London because I'm living in an Airbnb flat but I would love to meet up and I can show the city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Last year I started to feel uncertain about my future. I was always that kind of person that kept planning all things in life but suddenly I started to question if my plans about my future are really solid and if they are really what I wanted to do.

This feeling of uncertainty hasn't stopped so far and that's why I would like to take a year off after finishing my Bachelor degree, which will be in July 2018.
I would like to travel on shoestring budget and see places that I've never been to before. I'm particularly interested in Africa and South America (especially Peru!). I know this is a bit generic but I don't want to plan anything in more detail.

I would like to use Couchsurfing as a way to meet people who have done the same or who are currently doing this kind of journey.

Music, Movies, and Books

Regarding music, I don't really have a favourite kind of music.

For books, I think that this is a difficult question to answer. I think Harry Potter is still my favourite book series (although I'm currently reading the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy which is also very funny :D)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've founded my own company when I was 18 years old. Although it was medium successful I'm pretty proud of it.
I also jumped out of an airplane with an parachute which was an amazing experience.
