About Me

Hi! I live and love living in the city of Philadelphia where I host two podcasts; one, "Skip the Repeat", where I talk to artists and creatives about their journey to becoming the people they are today, and another with a radio station in Philadelphia where I attend a concert, and afterwards walk up to a fellow audience member and ask them to call into the studio. There, we have a conversation about why they were at the concert and who they are, all without revealing their name. I also work at an awesome coffee shop in Philly where I get to meet and talk to people on a daily basis. My passions including working out, being outdoors (I'd love to talk about the time I hiked Mt. Robson in the Canadian Rockies!), and cats.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A couple of months ago, I met two amazing people in Philadelphia while serving them coffee at the shop. I was headed to NYC later that day and who were the first people I saw when I got out of my car at the bus stop? My amazing Couchsurfing friends, Klæmint and Barbara. Through the two hour bus ride, we talked about their experience traveling the world through Couchsurfing and decided that I wanted to be a part of this community.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is super difficult so I'll share what I'm into at this moment!

Music: Diego el Cigala, flamenco music in general.

Movie: Widows (watched half on the plane yesterday, it's pretty good so far!)

Book: The Courage To Be Happy (Ichiro Kishimi, Fumitake Koga)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a podcast host, I have the privilege of having conversations with people I've never met, on a weekly basis. Whether it's face to face with well-known musicians traveling the world on tour or on the phone with a complete stranger whose names I don't even know, engaging in in-depth conversations has strengthened my belief in the beauty of people.

Just yesterday I recorded a podcast in the studio with someone whose journey has involved being born with Brittle Bone Disease (They have had 50 broken bones so far in life), accepting and making a wheelchair a part of their identity, and transitioning from being queer to trans. They taught me to have a broader view of people with disabilities and that we shouldn't assume or feel bad for them necessarily.

As a person trying to live every day to its fullest, that was the most amazing thing I've done.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation is a two way street; I love to listen to people's stories and laugh with them.
