Overview
About Me
Ex-chef, ex-radio worker and wine lover.
One day I quit my job and I became a full time gipsy. I've been a workawayer, visited many ecovillages and off grid farms and lived in different countries. I try to eat vegan when circumstances allow me to do it, but I'm such a flexible person. BTW I have a pretty black sense of humour, no Facebook, no TV and sometimes not even a mobile. Domesticated animals depresses me and I've always volunteered at SPCAs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a host I couldn't care less if a guest just wanted a place to sleep or if they were able to make a proper culture exchange, I just like to help. As a guest I prefer to meet the people that lives in a city than the city itself.
Interests
Cool stuff: Laughing. HUGS. Waking up ridiculously early. Going to bed at hen's time. Being tipsy. Shellac discs. Old horror movies. Yurts. Mammals. Hats. Respect for people's space. Wine.
Things that suck: Gossiping. Homeopathy. Killing spiders. Giving advice without being asked. Bird cages. Parents that don't seem to mind their children yelling next to you. Pet owners that let them poo everywhere. Judgemental heads. Liquors.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like from tangos to heavy metal and everything in between except for some soft indie that bores me to death and more than 5 minutes of reggae. I'm specially fond on folk, in general terms the older the better. I like Bukowsky and Saramago. I do love some american stand up such as Sarah Silverman, Chelsea Handler, missed Joan Rivers and late Robin Williams. Old Holywood movies. I'm not a pretentious brat.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was born and I'm still alive. I used to get paid for talking nonsense on the radio.
Teach, Learn, Share
I do love to listen. I specially enjoy talking to people that think just the opposite that I believe, it makes me learn constantly. I'm quite good at talking in a non-agressive way, but good to know that although I look sweet my sense of humour can get a bit dark, anyway I usually adapt to the one's next to me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I really enjoy cooking with and for people, I'm specially good at tortillas and homemade jams! I can help you with your garden if you have one, I can go out with you to explore, share a nice glass of wine or I can just let you in peace, I guess I like to please :-)
