To live, love, see and have freedom to explore. To connect with other human beings and see the beauty in humanity. My mission is to grow and be the best human I can possibly be and one of the ways I do this is by getting outside of my comfort zone.

ABOUT ME

I'm a Memphis native. I love nature. I love art: seeing and doing. I am a very creative person. I love to travel and meet new people and I love being immersed in other cultures. I love listening to live music. I am an animal lover. I'm pretty laid back, creative, and a bit quirky.
I moved to San Diego beginning of 2015. Basically sold my stuff, packed my car and drove across country by myself. It was quite an adventure. San Diego is now my home! I love it in San Diego and I love California and I want to see more of it.

I believe that being a kind person is important and I think that seeing people is also of value. I am an old fashioned heart with an old soul. But that is coupled with a child like wonder. I try to embrace both aspects of my personality. My philosophy is that connecting to other people is an amazing thing and experience and being open to whatever comes my way allows me to experience things I may not have ever experienced.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have attended a local cs event and plan to attend more. I have opened my home and am excited about being a part of the community! I started with the community in Memphis and I hosted a few people before moving to San Diego. I was a professional pet sitter in Memphis and was often away at home but the few requests I got, I hosted every one of them. I am currently unable to host where I live because I rent a room and bathroom and am unable to allow people to stay over. I am looking forward to having my own one bedroom again so that I can host. I haven't surfed much either. I have only stayed with one host but I am setting the intention to send requests for hosts when I travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked a dangerous muddy trail in the mountains... I thought it would be an easy hike. I was wrong. :) It felt amazing because there were cliffs and edges that with one wrong move would have sent me to my death. The trail was definitely not labeled correctly but I didn't give up when I noticed that it would be the hardest hike I had ever done in my life.
