I am a musician and dancer with a passion for creating projects and bringing people together. The last 20 years I have specialised in Brazilian music and dance. I am principally a percussionist but I also play piano and compose. I run a batucada called 'Ilu Axe' currently based in Bristol and Marseille. I also have an a cappella voice and body percussion group that I write for.
I lived in Paris for 1 year and have been in the South of France for 8 years.

PHILOSOPHY

I love the idea of international communities based on shared philosophies and principals.
One of the reasons I love music and dance is because of the ways in which they enable people to connect and overcome barriers of culture and language.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Professionally, I am currently looking to network within Europe to make contact with other artists working in the same field.
I also have a personal objective to find somewhere I would like to settle, although I have given myself a few years to do that. In the meantime I am open to life's great adventures and hoping to meet interesting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Within a network of people who enjoy and participate in Brazilian music and dance, I have been a host and a guest with people from all over the world. Couchsurfing opens up that network more widely for me.
