About Me

°•○•°●°•○•°
I'm layin down roots. In graduate school to become a psychedelic therapist. Curious, motivated, open minded. I like to live with a healthy mind and body. I love to learn and be engaged in the world around me.

Experiences matter more than possessions and people matter more than all. Love, or its lack, drives the world.

Tomorrow isn't promised. Do hard things now rather than be forced to write them in a eulogy tomorrow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I traveled around volunteering through HelpX.net I prefer to live with my hosts and experience their cultures and lifestyles, so I can expand my own. It's also why I served in Peace Corps, Ukraine as a teacher for 2 years.
CS gets me off the beaten path, not in a sterile hotel and to really connect with other hoomans.

TL;DR:
I'm the eternally curious one asking, "but what's around the corner!?" And doing life off the beaten path. Sometimes to my detriment but my autobiography is a BANGER.

Interests

I love conversations about ideas and perspectives of the world and why it is, learning about history and am an amateur anthropologist

Im most alive in nature, kayaking with my dog Daisy, trail running, audiobooks, podcasts, hiking, dancing at concerts, and talking to all the dogs. I love trying new foods, other people's perspectives, exploring and putting good into the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

The first rule of fight club is, you don't talk about fight club!

Right now on my playlist I've got The Lumineers, The Weeknd, Baynk, The Pretty Reckless, Drake, Florence + the Machine, Frank Ocean, A Day to Remember (they're from my hometown!), Halsey ... it's eclectic I suppose. Let's dance!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Committing to be a volunteer for 2 years in a country with a war going on and only being given 3 weeks notice and 3 days to decide, before getting on the plane.
Sorry you're getting 3.

I decided 3 weeks in advance to abandon life back home in America for an indefinite period of time with only one small suitcase and without knowing where I would be in 3 weeks from any given day.
(I've done this multiple times throughout the years at this point 🤣 ADHD brain I guess, I like adventure)

Ummm...Spent 4 days camping with the Rainbow Family Gathering in Hungary with no showers, shoes, soap, or toilets and rained every day. THIS was an experience! Definitely an adventure and got my feet in the mud.

Teach, Learn, Share

Currently live in Denver and in graduate school - Change your mind, change your life.

I lived and worked in Ukraine, teaching English. Can tell ya some Peace Corps stories and do some outdoor Denver things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am super good at washing dishes. I even have 2 hands, not just 1, which allows me to be more effective at helping do... things.... house things.
Ugh, but actually I could probably teach you how to make some varenyky (Ukrainian food, kinda like pierogies or dumplings).

But besides that I'm very entertaining? Sometimes I'm funny. The other times I'm asleep. lol

Countries I’ve Visited
