CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to find intergenerational communities and organizations working to take better care of our elders and heal the loss experienced through generational segregation and ageism.

ABOUT ME

My journey thus far has largely been about joy. People have described me as having a sunshiny presence which lights up their day. I graduated from college last year and have found myself wanting movement in my life, primarily at an internal level. I've been exploring life through connection with all sorts of people, hearing their stories and discovering what aspects are mirrors to my own story as it is unfolding. I believe that there is something to be learned from every interaction. The last year brought me to my core passion, which is bringing the generations together in a healing way. I aspire to find alternatives to the retirement home system, bring voice to age groups that go largely unheard and bring what I learn from my travels back to my home communities.

PHILOSOPHY

This is a big question with an answer that is constantly evolving. Each day I learn something new which I incorporate into my philosophy. I love talking to people about this! :)

A theme that has been unfolding in my life is of the importance of deep, authentic connection with self and others, exploring the inner dark as well as light, and being joyful and gentle with yourself and all life.

I've done a bit of couch surfing, just not through this website as of yet. My experience has mostly been with friends or friends of friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I've done and seen many things that left me awestruck. The things that have stuck with me the most, however, were the simplest and the sweetest moments, and for me, the amazing things in life are the numinous tender and inspiring moments that come to me by surprise in a simple walk in the woods, or in a conversation with a dear friend or stranger.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love silk painting and sewing and I love to share my art with people. I also play the flute and I've been wanting to play with people more and learn how to jam. Right now I just play alone.
