About Me

I've discovered a lot about myself within the past few years. I started tree planting in Canada and made some very good friends for life who were able to help encourage me to push my limits. Since then I've started travelling, left school and began pursuing my passion for the outdoors. I hike, I climb, I am willing to try anything once and I try to follow the rule of saying yes to any new experience. Travelling has opened up my life to things I thought I could only dream about and now I am living them. I have many future plans all around the globe and I'm going to keep going until I am stopped by something out of my control.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Being in school has giving me a good life lesson and a whole lot of debt. I try to travel as cheaply as possible so I can dream bigger and get further. Ever since I started hitch-hiking my travel world has opened up and I'm hoping for similar experiences Couchsurfing.

Interests

I have fallen in love with adventure sports and I try to get more experience within them as I travel and opportunities arise. I plan to get alpine guiding certified over the next few years. I take on any adventure and give it my all.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is variable. I like to give most artists a listen and see how I feel about them before I rule it out. I rarely watch movies and am constantly made fun of by my friends about how little I've seen. There's no chance I'll watch a horror movie and when I do decide to watch one its probably Moonrise Kingdom, The Notebook or Snatch. My taste in books is about the same as music, I'll give any book a good go before I judge it. I love Vonnegut, Atwood and Paulo Coelho. Bill Bryson is always recommended to me and I've wanted to read of few of his but the one book I've read was not my cup of tea (A Walk In The Woods).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I suppose I could list some of the hikes I've done or the hard jobs I've worked but I think the truly amazing thing I've done in my life is continued to travel and push to live the kind of life I am passionate for. My family does not see my love for the way I live my life and find is hard to support it. Despite this, I've managed to continue follow my heart and life the life I dream of instead of getting caught in the rat race of modern society.

Teach, Learn, Share

Right now I feel I have not too much to teach, I'd really have to meet you and be able to share things in person. I would love to share my view on life and my love for the world as well as analyzing how we can make a change. Most aspects of my life I am just learning myself but I am more than happy to learn together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can surely make some pretty mean brownies and I am always willing to try any new recipes. I love to cook, especially using fresh local ingredients. I've been known to be a pretty good au pair so if you need a babysitter, i'm you're girl!
