About Me
Please read Couch Information MY HOME -> ADDITIONAL INFO Before sending Couch Request! ( including Codeword in the last sentence)
Now I Understand, why people put "Codewords" into their profiles. Way too many Copy&aste Requests coming in. Especially during the "Oktoberfest".
And yes, I will decline all Couchrequest, that will not mention either the codeword or have explicit reference to several details of my profile.
BOUT MYSELF: Hmm how to advertise oneself without giving a "cheap I-need-to-sell-myself" impression... *think, think, think, little bear, think, think, think*well you could read the comments of the people I surfed at for a start.Other than that, I am eager to learn new things, consider myself really open-minded but still having principles and moral standards that I try to live by and apply to my own(!) life.I am the daughter of a teacher and an entomologist (person who collects beetles) so I have a knack for nature and wildlife, as well as people and all aspects of gathering and spreading knowledge. My friends and family tell me that I have a talent for cooking, and I admit, that's oe of the things I really love to do.
TRAVELING:Hmm, guess I'm sort of a "gypsy in disguise" I'd say.I got infected to traveling when i was... hmmm... guess about 6 or seven, when I started to "be aware" that I was traveling. I have had the luck, to grow up in a family of highly addicted globetrotters, and have always seen that as one of the greatest blessings in my life.I had the opportunity to get to know the most different cultures, I have eaten the strangest foods and my "nick" Cata, like Catastrophe, comes from surviving a few of the biggest natural disasters ever.My "traveling specialty" are definatelly the USA. There are but 3 states I haven't set foot in yet. And with Kansas... well let's just say, Kansas and me go a loooong way back. I definatelly tried... one day I shall succeed. :Dcreate your own personalized map of the USA or check out ourCalifornia travel guideJOB:I worked as a teacher, an illustrator, was the best hand of a well known black smith, I worked as a rescue-diver in Florida.(and more)After "searching around" for a while, I went into selfemployment, as a Educational Consultant for Parents with "difficult Kids". (from childhood pregnancy via stabbing their teacher with a knife to Drug addiction, you name it, I've seen it)Quite a job, but one I loved. After 10 years in the job, I felt it'd be time to do something new though and became a german Paramedic. Since I work at the Emergency room at the local hospital I have to do shifts, but will still try to host as much as possible.
RELIGION:Due to a lot of traveling in Asia, and some intense experiances there, I am basically Buddhish. But I "dont care" wich religion you have, when it comes to meeting. :)I hope this might give you an impression of who I am, and... well...Hope to meet you soon! :)
PHILOSOPHY
Everything will be ok in the end.
If it's not ok, it's not the end...!
One doesn't search for adventure.
You either live them or not.
No guts, no glory!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been surfing so much by now. I have seen "it all". And beside one guy, who is no longer member of this site, all were positive. :)
Whenever I am back home, my status is set on "Definately" because I love to "pay back" to an idea, which is just awesome.
To put a long stry short, I love surfing but hosting the same, cause I can give back all those loads of laundry, shampoo and conditioner and all the meals I have feasted on. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Awesome!
(there'd be way to many storys to tell about my CS-Experiences than would fit into this little box...)

Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to teach you how to do special effect Make-up, like deep flesh wounds, scars bruises ect. (See pictures) :-)
a lot on traveling in general and especially surviving "on the road".
How to Hitchhike sucessfully(!) for example.
Dos and DONTs of the road, place to go and places NOT to go (refering to safety)
How to travel solo (as a girl) and still stay more or less safe.
And, of course, I will be more than happy to share any knowledge I have accumulated about RENOVATING landmarked houses, History of the area, insidertips, and... well... I'll be happy to share anything I know. :D
