About Me

I'm sorry to anyone trying to get me to host, I am currently homeless so hosting is kind of hard. Also I respond to every message I get so I don't know why my response rate is so low.

My name is Kai Prime, I'm a nice lady from Montreal, QC and yes, Optimus is my uncle. I moved to Vancouver, BC in 2011 which is where I met my man Chris. He is a nice man from Bristol, UK. He moved to Vancouver in 2013 and WISHES Optimus was his uncle.

We're born 6 months apart, are 2 inches in height apart and are pretty happy, friendly and easy-going unless we haven't eaten recently. Then we're hangry and we're so, so sorry.

We've agreed to quit our lives and travel for the next year or so together cause adventuring is fun.

We're gonna see everything... All the things. We're gonna poke stuff with sticks.

We started our adventure in the UK, hung out with the queen and everything, sadly she didn't have the space to put us up apparently. After that we drove West to East across North America, over 12,000 km. We saw some amazing things.

Now we are moving to New Zealand for a year, to travel up and down the islands, living simply with our lives on our backs. This whole journey is a test to see what we can do with ourselves by deciding to live differently.

The adventure of a lifetime, that is what we are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We're adventurers! Wild and excited. Like children in the backyard but on a global scale.

We love people, sharing stories and helping out wherever we may go. We are calling in all of our accumulated life karma points in an effort to subsidize our travelling by staying with you. We offer home cooked meals, friendship and relocation services of the creepy spiders inside your house.

Interests

We are both interested in travelling obviously. we have grandiose plans of seeing everything we can. Our dreams trip is driving from Alaska to Patagonia hugging the Pacific and one day, we will!

We also are both into sustainable living and tiny homes. We are currently researching what exactly that means to us but right now we are leaning towards the idea of gutting a school bus to turn it into a happy little house and owning a herb garden of parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.

Our third serious shared interest is in the care of people in general but especially those who are marginalized in society. He is a social worker who deals mainly with young adults who have learning disabilities and I have a few years experience working with people dealing with homelessness, drug addiction and other disabilities. We want the world to be a better place for everyone.

Individually, I really enjoy cooking and I am quite good at it. I like to make things out of other things too. He really enjoys taking pictures and audio books. He's a huge football (soccer) fan as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a bunch of things, he likes some other things and we both like some other things together. Liking stuff is cool and good for you but it shouldn't be what defines you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have both left out lives to find new ones, which is a lot scarier than you'd think.

We've traveled across a continent without killing each other.

We've held dinosaur bones.

We've seen bears.

We've bungee jumped and sky dived but not together.

We've been on a tour of both New York city and Yellowstone national park at 5am, they both looked like the apocalypse but for different reasons.

We've both made the conscious effort to live life and not let it live us, that is really the most amazing thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have mad housewife skills. Anything that has to do with being a housewife... I got that. I can also balance your books and build you a desk.
I can teach you any of these things.

He has skills too, need help fixing your camera or maybe your computer? He's got you there.

We really like sharing knowledge. Both giving and receiving. We like to know how things work.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Next week's winning lottery numbers...

Seriously though, the main thing that we do for our hosts is purchasing, cooking and cleaning up dinner. There is nothing that makes me happier than happy people who have just eaten good food. Please let me make you good food. I will adhere to all dietary restrictions, needs and choices.
