About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeing the world from its best!!!

ABOUT ME

Hello,
I am Kai! I've sign up on Couchsurfing in 2012 but I didn't really use it in since a few weeks ago.
I am 28 years old and originally from a small nice state in Germany, so called Saarland. While I lived there I've never travelled that much, since I always tried to convince my friends to join me, but we had different opinions what is travelling. They wanted more party, I wanted more see things. The time passed by and I was bored by my job, so decided to move to a bigger city and study there. I did not only start to study, but also travelling around the world which brought me to couchsurfing.com.
I am very open-minded person and love to see the world and explore new things. I already saw many countries and many interesting people. That is the life I was looking for!!!!

PHILOSOPHY

The way is the aim! Don't worry be happy! Always look on the bright side of life! Don't be a speaker be a doer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just surfed so far! As soon as I get back home to Germany I'll start to host people, because I will give something to the CS-community.

I am a fan of cultural exchange!! Couchsurfing is a way to get known the world and the people in it better. We're coming from different backgrounds but still want the same. Traveling and explore this beautiful planet!

I have expectation for Couchsurfing. That means I want to have a clean (clean in terms of hygiene) place and a respectful environment. Couchsurfing is more for me than just saving up money for a place to sleep. It really is an experience from which people can gain of. Surfers have a place to stay, as well as an contact person who gives them advices of the city which they won't explore in such a short time without a local who is aware of the area. Hosts will have the possibility to show that there are not only people out there who wants to make money but show that altruism behavior exists!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in a few cities in the US and Canada, but not hosted yet!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first big travel experience:
I travelled to New York for met my friends. Only five days. My friends have visited a friend in Canada and moved from Canada to New York. The Deal was to meet us at 10 o clock at the Madison Square Garden. As I was there at 10 o clock they wasn´t. I felt terrible. But I can´t contacted them by mobile phone and they had the address of our flat. I thought i have to die. Because some people sad to me it is crazy to travel to New York only five days and I travelled alone. In this moment I thought the pessimists were right. But after 45 minutes they called me and tell me that the Bus was late and they are coming now. We have had wonderful days there and a lot of fun! If I have heard to the pessimist people I would missing this beautiful time. And of course that were really shitty ;-)
