About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live outside

ABOUT ME

I hear often in German the expression Stadtkind/Stadtmensch (city-child/human being), which is said of a person who likes to live in a (big) city and enjoys the pleasures of the modern society. At the opposide side I like to think there are the so-called Waldmenschen (wood-human beings). I guess I could be considered one.

I love to talk about everything and a lot with "common" people as well as with those who come from far away. I love to entertain talking especially about languages/linguistics, they're my hot spot; so if you happen(unfortunately) to get trapped in some language-topic or awaken my linguistic side (i.e. by the way you speak, your accent or eventually the grammatical "errors" if you're using a language that's not your mother-tongue) ..I could talk straight away for hours. Forgetting everything else. And you, poor victim, would be lost.

I like my dark horse (my Schrott, also called bike.. an old one, still miracolously functioning), foreign people (I'm Mr Xenophile), social cold as well as hot drinks (beer, tea, coffee), books and sports (swimming, running, cycling & wandering). As well as many other little things. The little things in life I would say. Which isn't necessary to list up.

Oh, by the way, I have another bike. Two actually, but the third one is unfortunately completely kaputt. In pieces. Under my bed. And the second one has no breaks. Thing which could make your possible way downtown.. let's say more adventurous. ;)

Sofar, that's all.

And Thou, oh Visitor, which you randomly found my profile, if thou feelst thyself adressed and think that you could make a good use of your adaptability and my temporary existence here in Vienna, let our destinies cross for a moment, be welcome and don't fear to write me.

Otherwise, may your journey in this little city by the woods be pleasant and, still, have a good time!

PHILOSOPHY

Live not causing any harm. Nor yourself, nor to the others, nor to the environment.
Do as much "good" as you can, help people as much as you can; this fucked up humanity just needs it. There's no help for it.
Always smile. If you got some luck you get most of the time something back, maybe more than some shiny teeth.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too long to list! I think Bergman is still my favourite director. So, everything which he made.

I think the only commercial music-people I could still listen to are the Cranberries.

I pretty much enjoy (old) Russian literature as well as some interesting stuff produced in countries which lay above the 55th parallel north.
