Resumen
Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
Meeting and entertaining people by spinning a shiny basketball. I would love to bring my basketball to all the countries on the globe :)
ABOUT ME
Japanese, age 22. Love to know different culture and meet different people. I am okay with partying but definitely prefer conversation with more depth with a few number of people Maybe drinking wine or beer for the talk could be great :)
I was born in Japan, raised in Singapore and Japan. I am currently an university student in Tokyo, Japan, but I have lived in the East Coast of America for a year and in the West Coast for 2 months for a study abroad.
I always carry a basketball wherever I travel so that I can interact with anyone who may not even share any language! I believe in the power of sports to unite people.
I would love to meet new people all over the world!
PHILOSOPHY
I think life is all about opening up new horizons and getting inspirations by traveling and meeting new people. Since my country is an isolated island country, I've always dreamt of getting out of my country since I returned from Singapore at the age of 10. I just started to travel a lot after I got into college. Also, since Japan is a country where people don't get much holiday, I am willing to travel a lot while I am a student.
Seize the moment!
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just started using Couchsurfing for my trip in Europe but I am looking forward to meet travelers back in Japan as well!!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The only experience I've had before this Europe trip is my 2 weeks + 2 weeks of couchsurfing in San Francisco at my new-met friends place during summer school, where I enjoyed talking a lot, especially about Japanese and American cultures.
For this trip so far, in Paris and Bordeaux, I had wonderful hosts who I enjoyed talking to while our meal and coffee. I was glad to enjoy the relaxing experiences you wouldn't have if I were just going to hotels and doing sightseeing. I think spending together with a local is a great way to know the place and the culture.

Música, películas y libros
I love films. I think I learned and maintained my English from watching a lot of them.
Some favorites would be: Star Wars (I owe my English to this film), the Matrix series, Fast and Furious Series, Into the Wild, The Bucket List, Love Actually, Hayao Miyazaki films
Algo increíble que he hecho
The most amazing thing I've seen is a tough choice but in recent years, I would say the view of Ölüdeniz in Turkey from a paraglider.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
When people think of Japanese culture, I guess they think of Japanese pop cultures of Anime or traditional cultures but I am willing to talk about street culture in Japan, especially about freestyle basketball that I love.
Talking about Japan in general is fun too!
