Overview
About Me
I recently graduated from university in May and am currently working in Guilin, China for a year as an English teacher. In university, I studied environmental science, entrepreneurial management, Spanish language and culture, and leadership education and development.
I have a passion for traveling, music, and meeting new people. I hope to do as much traveling as I can while I am still young. I have spent 7 months in South America, while also getting to travel to Cuba a year later. Currently in China, I will be in Southeast Asia during the holiday and plan on traveling more before heading home to the United States later in 2018.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I really like to learn how local people live. I try to avoid all of the tourism and see how daily life is. For this reason, I would love to live with a local person and see their home through their eyes. In exchange, I can teach about my culture and make a new friend.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love punk, ska, latino, folk, indie, acoustic.. live music is what I was raised on. I am not so much into movies, but living in China has helped me to watch more movies and read more books. I like things that make you think. Entertainment that is deep and makes me think about life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my favorite things was hiking through Patagonia (Torres del Paine) for 5 days in May. The south of Chile was very cold at this time, but this scared most people away. It was absolutely breathtaking, and one of my favorite experiences.
