About Me
Hi there! I'm Kaitlin! I have been a student at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse for the past five years and will be receiving my Undergraduate Degrees in International Business and Spanish in the summer of 2018. I love doing essentially anything outdoors, whether it be to go hiking, fishing, skiing, or anything else. When the weather doesn't want to cooperate (or when I'm just in the mood to stay indoors) I enjoy relaxing at home with friends, reading, doing puzzles and painting. I am willing to try nearly anything at least once and enjoy taking advantages of all of the adventures that life has to offer!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling is an absolute passion of mine, whether it being alone or with a friend. In my personal experience, traveling has resulted in not only seeing the sights but also in creating lasting relationships with a variety of people. I feel like using Couchsurfing is a great way to continue to meet new people and to learn about their lives and cultures! I look forward to creating some more life long friendships along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love almost all music, but my favorites are definitely alternative rock and R&B. My favorite band is Shinedown and I've gotten to see them three times now:)
Books: I love reading, it's always been a passion of mine. I can read essentially anything but prefer (non-mystery) fiction.
Movies: I can watch essentially any movie genre but horror; if I have to sit through a horror movie I'll have a blanket in front of my face through the majority of it! Some of my favorites include the Harry Potter series, Perks of Being a Wallflower and Mulan.
Teach, Learn, Share
When visiting I would enjoy helping to show people how to cook some of my favorite dishes, like stuffed peppers and Spanish paella. I would also be able to help anyone learn English or even Spanish if you're at a beginning level. During winter, I would be more than willing to teach someone how to downhill ski!
I would love to learn how to cook popular dishes of different cultures or perhaps even some vegetarian dishes, although I'm not actually a vegetarian. Aside from cooking different dishes, I would love to learn a bit of other languages like Italian or German or something a bit more adventurous like surfing or rock climbing.
