About Me
Okay...
I am a 21 year old student at a university in California. I am actually studying a year abroad this year in Madrid, Spain. In the four short months I have been here it is changing my life beyond what I thought imaginable. Seeing the world out side of the American bubble I feel different in a good way. I am not the most outgoing person at first, but once I get to know someone you would have never thought I was a shy person.
I take education (in and out of the classroom) very seriously. It is important to me to understand people and not just things. I am learning how to do that each day by traveling and meeting different people. I've decided to put my efforts to understand people to good use, and once I graduate from my university I will be joining the Peace Corps. The Peace Corps is an organization in the United states that takes people with degrees and places them in third world countries in order to help them improve their way of living. Which of course in turn improves the volunteers way of living throughout their lives as well.
This is my first time to Europe, ever, and it is amazing. I fall more and more in love with this side of the world everyday. I decided to study in Europe because I felt it was crucial for me to leave my comfort zone and put myself out there. I live with people from all over the world in my piso, and it is an experience I will never forget.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on here because my Italian roommate told me this is the best way to travel when you go alone. I want to try it out on the few trips I am taking away from my friends here. If it is something that works out then when I go home to the states I will most likely be on the receiving end of couch surfers :)

I enjoy the following:
Art, architecture, video games, history, government/social issues, exploring, riding horses, being with friends, and trying new things.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music is basic. I enjoy listening to classical music when I am focused on a task or being productive, and my favorite music is country (back in the states..I know).
MOVIES!! I am a huge movie buff! If it is famous around the world or made in the United States I have probably seen it. *Favorite night in is a good glass of wine and a great movie*
Now on the category of books. For enjoyment I will usually read crime or suspense novels. I have also read some books that are in my library as must reads, such as: To kill a mockingbird, crime and punishment, catch-22, The picture of Dorian Gray, Complete works of William Shakespeare, and Knight.
