Hi!

I am a laid back, energetic world traveler, currently facing reality at the ripe age of 28. Traveling the world is amazing, but I am now attempting the steady job thing... That doesn't mean I don't get the travel bug often! I thrive on meeting new people and making friends from all over the world. It makes life so much more interesting! I have lived in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, London (UK), and Singapore. I love learning about new cultures and eating allllll the food different cities and countries have to offer. I am a music buff (I excel in the music round on pub trivia nights) and am a lover of the arts.

I have a Fine Arts degree in Film and Photography and my main area of research/practise was performance art as a means of expression and art therapy. After completing my undergrad, I moved to London, UK where I randomly met an Australian woman who took me in under her wing and trained me as her Speech Therapy Assistant (I also worked as a nanny for her two young boys). From there I traveled to Czech Republic and all around the UK to work with adults with acquired brain injury. It was the best experience of my life and that is now why I am back in school studying to become a Speech therapist. I am a student at the University of British Columbia, in the process of applying for my Masters in Speech and Language Pathology (speech therapy). So, currently I am studying Linguistics and Psychology to fulfil pre requisites for said Masters. I love phonology and rhythm and patterns in language. Never in my life did I think I could pick apart tones and stress patterns in West African languages and other various languages of the world. If you have ever taken a linguistics course, you probably feel my pain from Tibetan numerals.

Anyway, all that being said, I like to laugh a lot, I don't take things too seriously when it's not necessary and all of the best things in life are free. Taking in a sunset or a walk along the beach or climbing up a mountain... you just can't beat it!
