Overview
About Me
Cheerful marine biology student looking to adventure during any free time away from school. I've previously taken a gap year to backpack across the world and had the privilege to couch surf in many different countries.
I'm still always looking to share stories and meet new people, and hope to one day extend the kindness that others have given me during my travels once I have a place of my own.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Aside from the bonus of saving money that I could put towards my university and diving equipment, I have learned that in every country, there is less of an experience to be gained by staying in hotels. You can only gain so much from lonely planet guides and internet reviews, and I've had my best experiences in hostels/group homes, so I hope to make even more on here!
Interests
Planning on becoming a marine biologist, and have dived in many places around the world (but I promise not to bore you with blue planet information). Genuinely enjoy good company and any new place to go hiking and adventuring.

Music, Movies, and Books
I play guitar (I'm no Dave Grohl but I try my best) a long with a lot of other instruments. Although after discovering the gem that is Thai rock/metal, I am open to ANY new music recommendations in any language.
The same goes for movies! (Even if I have to read English subtitles). My favourite genres may be horror and fantasy/sci-fi, but my all time favourite movie is spritied away (I'm a sucker for traditional animation).
As for books, I haven't had the time to sit down and read since I've started travelling, however I am always happy to receive recommendations for when I can start again.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've dived with bull and tiger sharks at 30m in Fiji without a cage, just ask and I'll show you the pictures!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning new things from others ranging from instruments to local culture and history, I'm still young (as I've been told many a time) so I'll take any chance I can to grow as a person and learn more about this world. In return, I'd be happy to tell many stories from my travels across Oceania, Asia, and Europe! I've learned a lot about how to miss all your trains but meet amazing people in the strangest places.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company and stories from around the world, and possibly cooking if you trust me enough to not burn down your kitchen (I have mastered coconut macaroons and potato wedges). I also have a repertoire of 5 songs on the guitar... Can't promise that it'll be amazing but I can for sure make you laugh.
