Hello et bonjour, I'm Kaitlyn!

Seattle, Washington ➡️ Bozeman, Montana ➡️ ??? I'm off to adventure indefinitely! I've worked many odd jobs (carousel operator, aquarium guide, karaoke DJ), but I haven't found my passion quite yet. Hopefully traveling allows me to do so!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to experience travel as authentically as possible!

Interests

I love trying new foods, teaching, karaoke, paddle boarding, skiing, blogging, finding pretty waterfalls, and visiting national parks.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'm primarily drawn to women vocalists (Chairlift, Purity Ring, Ibeyi, St. Vincent), but I have a soft spot with brass solos, hand clapping, or smooth harmonies.

Movies: The Royal Tenenbaums, Clueless, Ponyo, Big Fish--stuff like that. Stranger Things is television, but I think it's terrific!

Books: Contemporary poetry and kids books with cool messages (Le Petit Prince, par exemple). Ubik is the only piece of scifi I've ever liked, but it might be my favorite.

Teach, Learn, Share

I earned my B.A. in French, though I have spent very little time totally immersed in the language. I can read and write well, but I would love to practice listening and speaking! In return, I could help with anything in the English language. Or I could teach you to juggle, or some other odd skill I've picked up.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've been known to get along well with any house pet and write sappy goodbye letters. Additionally, I can offer travel advice for Seattle, Montana, or the U.S. in general :)
