Hello!

I currently work as a tree planter in Western Canada during the spring and summer seasons. I also co-own a small business vending natural wild food with my partner. I spend the year travelling between provinces for tree planting work but also to harvest yummy things when they're in season!

I love foraging, hiking, and exploring.

Will be starting my graduate certificate this fall in the field of International Development.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I began actively participating in the Couchsurfing community a couple years ago. So far I have surfed in the US, Canada and parts of Europe and each experience was amazing in its own way. Eagerly awaiting the day when I have my own place so that I can be a host of my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Each of my experiences as a surfer has equally been amazing. Without this community I would not have been able to travel the way that I do and I am forever grateful for the connections I have made. Looking forward to new experiences.

Interests

Being on the road definitely makes you appreciate the simple things in life. I love to cook and create, and have developed an interest for learning about wild food and medicine. It's something that I feel very passionate about. I'm constantly learning about new harvesting techniques as well as health benefits of the things that grow all around us. The hunt of the forage is intoxicating and it is safe to say I've become addicted!

My other love is exploring the hidden gems of this world and working to understand the people who live in it. My studies in International Development have shaped my thinking in such a way to try to understand why communities work the way they do.
