About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have the best time

ABOUT ME

I'm a radio broadcaster by trade so I'm friendly and honestly interested in a different point of view. I love seeing music, people watching and striking up conversation with complete randoms.

I'm on leave from my job until January so I'm travelling until my money runs out! Just spent 4 months in Central America starting in Mexico and made my way down through Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. I'm just about to leave New York City after an amazing 3 weeks with my bestie to hit up San Francisco. The plan is to catch buses/trains up the coast to Vancouver.

PHILOSOPHY

You gotta risk it to get the biscuit.

It's OK to stand in the rain.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to informally host backpackers/friends of friends of friends when I lived in Brisbane and Sydney. Now I cook for my hosts :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only been surfing in New York and Philadelphia but there's so much I wouldn't have seen and so many people I wouldn't have met if the CS community didn't exist. You guys rock!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I hate this question cause I always think of better things to say about 3 hours later. But I will never stop loving Pulp Fiction, Amelie, Aladdin (yay, Disney!).

Music: Electronic, hip hop, indie, guilty pleasures from the 70's, 80's and 90's.

Books: I burn through books so quickly when I'm on a reading bender that it's hard to pick out a few. Also, similar problem to the movie question. I'll remember what I should have said hours later.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in a treehouse in Nicaragua, hiking through the cloud forests of Costa Rica, bush-bashing across Cape York.

When I was a kid my family lived in a Kombi van for 6 months and we travelled extensively throughout Europe/Nth America.

Teach, Learn, Share

I travel with a stills/video camera and an audio recorder and can pass on those skills to anyone who is interested.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Lebanon, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
