Overview
About Me
I have always loved meeting new people and learning from/with them while sharing experiences. Travel is wonderful, but the conversations I have with the people I meet are the best part of the adventure.
I invent sports-related equipment, so am very active and interested in alternative ways of doing things. I have two fantastic boys and a great wife.
I do a lot of volunteering with various groups in the community, and am very happy with where we live here in beautiful Nelson, BC.
Google my name for more info on me or what my inventions involve...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is new for me, but it seems like it might be a good fit for my gregarious personality and love of adventure.
My first counchsurfing experience will be in Switzerland in March, as I'm going there to test and do demos of some of my snow-related designs (www.slopedeck.com). Looking forward to meeting new friends in St. Moritz, Verbier, Wengen, Zermatt, and elsewhere in Switzerland!

Music, Movies, and Books
Just finished "How to Change Your Mind" by Michael Pollan. I love historical fiction and biographies, and of course periodicals like The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books, and National Geographic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've helped keep many thousands of plastic bags out of the landfill, thanks to my first invention, a Plastic Bag Drying Rack, which dries bags after they've been washed for re-use. (www.bagdryers.com)
Teach, Learn, Share
Innovation, philosophy, adventure, alternative perspectives.
What I Can Share with Hosts
