Motorcycled through northeastern Laos; spent a night in a guardhouse on the Great Wall; attended a rave on an aircraft carrier in Tianjin, China; many canoe trips through Quebec, stayed in a family mansion in Gubbio, Italy; climbed mountains in B.C., Alberta, and New York State.
