ABOUT ME
i love to meet new people and understand who they are and what drives them to do what they do. i like field trips and projects and adventures. i like a lot of novelty in my life, uncertainty and challenge give me energy , make me tick .
i am a morning person, i can get a lot of energy. i cant drink coffee because it puts me over the edge.
i grew up in the suburbs of chicago, but my parents came over from poland when they were 20 and they sent me and my sister back for all of the summers .
id say im a bit of a radical, in that, im thinking about layers of privilege and oppression that run through our day to day lives. i dont think that the government really can or wants to fix our culture, so im working on how to build better more healthy more sustainable , life giving communities . im a lover not a fighter, which means, i think that really listening and connecting with people, even those who are very different from us, is the best way to all move to healthier culture , healthier people..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i have surfed peoples couches and had people surf mine, but not really much through the site yet.
i love the idea of affordable travel, and of the real exchange that living with new people from new places brings. i love that this site affirms people's desire and motivation to share what they can with others .
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
my best couchsurf was when i was on my way to minnesota (in the US) for a two week long trip. i didn't have anywhere to stay yet . on the plane , the woman sitting next to me was reading the most amazing looking magazine we chatted the entire flight . in the end, she offered to set me up in one of the dorms where she was in school to be a lutheran minister ! amazing !
Interests
i like to spend my time learning new things . learning what makes other people tick . i do a lot of yoga nowadays too :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
most recently, a community garden in berlin, with 300 plots , all made from waste stream materials , old shopping carts, boxes, shelves, whatever people could find, .. to grow food in :)
it was beautiful, my favorite aesthetic , and also , very fittingly for berlin it seemed, people had made chairs and shade for passers-by to sit and enjoy the sights of everyone gardening .
