Overview
About Me
I practice living presently in each moment, appreciating the wonder of being alive and avoiding getting stuck in anger, aversion, or craving; floating like a ball down a mountain stream. I tend to focus on silver linings and view people by their best qualities. I like chocolate and the ocean at night. I feel increasingly at home in nature away from cities, but also appreciate the love and connection shared by all of the wonderful people in my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To connect with people from all over the world through our shared humanity, bringing our global community a little closer each time. I love hearing the stories of each of your lives, each one deepening my appreciation of our world's richness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Thought I was going to die twice in a legendary Vietnam-Cambodia adventure featuring masseuses, motorcycles, monkeys, a drunk old kiwi, ancient temples, and very happy special pizza. Also, swimming with whalesharks. Also, bought a truck and camped all through Australia over the course of three months with 17 rotating fellow travelers from around the world.
More recently, I quit my job to train as a meditation teacher and launch a global movement with the goal of providing universal access to meditation training, by training one million volunteer peace and compassion teachers around the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a student and teacher of mindfulness and compassion meditation, and would love to share what I've learned with whoever is interested.
I also have some familiarity with technology and play a mean game of table tennis (for a white guy).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share each moment with as much presence as I have, connecting through gratitude, peace, love, compassion, and joy.
