About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get back into the swing of living in the present and being who I truly am.
ABOUT ME
I believe in accepting everyone. My favorite things are learning, creating, and experiencing. I believe in stories. Knowing myself is very important to me. I love to write, and until recently planned to be a writer as a career. In any event, my future is certainly in some sort of creation. I place a lot of value on my naiveté, which most people don't understand. I also highly value my intelligence, but I've been reminding myself lately that that's not the most important thing. My life is changing a lot now, and I owe it in large part to "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle.
I'm an Eagle Scout. Also, I'm gay... figure that's worth mentioning, lol.
Right now I'm coming to the end of one academic year living in Barcelona, and am about to embark on 17 days of travel through various parts of Europe before going back to Louisville at the end of June.
Amidst all this, I'm afraid I don't really have time to fill out all of this profile info, but I will complete it thoughtfully in time!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm about to travel through Europe for 17 days - roughly 3 days in each country starting the 9th of June and ending the 25th. I'm going to Venice, Andalusia (Marbella, Sevilla), Portugal (Oporto), Paris, Prague, and Germany (probably Munich, Berlin). Let me know if you might want to meet up!
I came to this site to investigate couchsurfing as a lodging option for some parts of this journey, and was totally taken with it once I realized what a beautiful community it represents.
I still hope to be able to couchsurf/meet up with couchsurfers over the course of my coming trip, but beyond that, I now hope to get highly involved as a host and in learning/sharing experiences when I return to my hometown of Louisville at the beginning of July (2011).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far my only experience is looking around the site a bit - but so far I've been very impressed with it. This seems to be a real community, made up of real people who get joy from adventure and learning and who like to relate intimately with others. I'm very exciting about being a part of it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Stories are very important to me. My favorite genre is science fiction. Music is also a crucial part of my self, and should play a role in my future. I haven't been too into movies in the past, but that's changing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning. I'm a Spanish major right now, but that may change. I might end up in linguistics, computer science, physics, or philosophy - but I hate having to specialize! Art is also very important to me, and I could definitely see myself having gone to art school, although it didn't turn out that way.
