Overview
About Me
I grew up in the South of Germany but moved to the North in 2018 because of my studies. I just finished my Masters degree in Climate Physics (Meteorology and Oceanography) 🌊.
And now I just recently moved to Istanbul! Therefore if you are also just as new in the city as me and/or looking for new connections, just text me :)
I'm engaged in political movements. One of my biggest concerns (of course due to my study interest) is climate change and in particular the world's oceans. I love to make music (guitar and piano) and I recently recorded an album with my Punk-Band and I also write about music (reviews and reports for a webzine). Good live music is (almost) all I need to be happy 🎸:) I enjoy reading and crochet very much and can spend hours doing that. I love to try out different things that I haven't done before which made me do a lip-sync performance on stage as a Drag-King :D And when being in the city is too overwhelming for me, I enjoy escaping into the nature to hike🌱.
Hosting: We have a guest room but since we frequently have guests over, it’s not always available also hosting depends on our personal capacity. Just send me a message and maybe we have available space! Also, we are queer-friendly, antifaschist and feminist, if you are not, don’t text me, that’s not the energy we are seeking for. 🌈
For all allergic people: we have two cats in our apartment, please consider this before sending your request!
It sucks that I specifically need to write it down here but couchsurfing IS NOT a dating app and I obviously also don’t use it as such, I hope you also don’t. I will therefore not respond to any flirty messages.
‼️IMPORTANT: To make sure you read everything please type the keyword „Speedy“ in your request.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Strangers are friends you haven't met yet. It is usually not easy to meet new people when you're just travelling through a place, especially if you don't know the language. I feel like not knowing any of the people who actually live there severely reduces your understanding of its culture. I use Couchsurfing.com because it solves both that problem and the problem of finding accommodation in one fell swoop. Actually, I was using couchers.org before which is non-profit and for free, but since the community is very small, I now switched to couchsurfing. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
⚛️Doing an internship at CERN was the most amazing thing for me as a nerdy physicist.
💃🏻Besides that probably dancing Samba in Rio after eating too many special brownies and watching Twilight afterwards.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a couple of languages, how to play the guitar or the piano, crochet or we can just learn something new together. I'm basically up for anything creative. Even though I have two left feet, I enjoy learning different types of dances - just be patient with me :)
