About Me

I am a positive person with a desire to know as much of the world as possible: people, places, flavours and all:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

started using CS as a surfer and had great experiences with my hosts in the Baltics and Poland. Also took some couchsurfers around Budapest and occasionally had the opportunity to host fellow surfers - and met some cool people who later turned out to be CS-ers :D
“There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign.” - and I believe couchsurfing is a great platform for the traveler to discover and become less foreign :)

Interests

I am open to many things, let them be food, phylosophical questions of life, a new book or the sunset from the hill in your hometown - and the (not so) occasional local beer :)
I am interested in learning about your country and culture - history especially as it gives a background for the "why?" question i have many times

  • culture
  • books
  • dining
  • beer
  • traveling
  • history
  • hitchhiking
  • volunteering

Music, Movies, and Books

Motorcycle Diaries, Im Juli, Trainspotting, Into the wild, Fight Club, Guy Ritchie and Tarantino movies
Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, Lonely Planet: Europe on a shoestring:D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am proud of the fact that when i was 18 i set out on a hitchhiking journey alone through Poland and Germany - it was amazing! good start for my travelling career :)
Since that strong start i managed to visit 30 countries of Europe (+USA) - and the number is rising!

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak English, German and Hungarian, i can definitely teach some words in that - I also look forward to learn some important expressions in your own language! (like two beers please!)
I am trying to improve my Spanish as I would like to do volunteering in Spain again
I can also make paracord bracelets and am keen to teach you how to do it - they look really cool but actually are quite easy to make

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to prepare some of your (and Hungarian) traditional meals - of course i am happy to assist and contribute
For me it goes without saying that if we go out to a bar or reastaurant, it is my turn to reciprocate the favor :)
